"The Threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but
as I said, it is not new. It has been with us since the end of that war, and
particularly in the last 4 years we know after Operation Desert Fox failed to
force him to reaccept them, that he has continued to build those weapons.
He has had a free hand for 4 years to reconstitute these weapons, allowing
the world, during the interval, to loose the focus we had on weapons of mass
destruction and the isue of proliferation. -John Kerry, 10/09/02

Before I leave, i'm going to post a kind of strange story, one that proves that you dont need massive ammounts of money to educate a child, and that with a little bit of will power you can do all sorts of things. Even live in the forest for 4 years and come out 5 years ahead of where you should be.

Haha not supprised in the least, France surrenders to socialists

France says 35-hour week is failing

"The Socialists made a decision which is not compatible with our responsibilities to Europe," he said. He suggested a system whereby those who wanted to stay on the 35-hour week could do so, but those who wanted to work and earn more had greater latitude."

The moronicness of france never fails to amuse.

With all the negitive press about things going bad in Iraq, we never, ever hear any of the good things, and there are a lot. I got permission from a 21 yr old soilder stationed in Iraq to publish her perspective on things just this last week. Thanks a bunch for letting me post this, I hope people see a different perspective from this.

"this last week has had a major impact on our (the americans) being here. for starters we've been handing out care packages to poor families and clothes for the kids. we handed out about 150 sheep to poor villages that were in need of food also. and we're funding projects for plumbing and construction for roads throughout the community. it's been really busy but we're trying to rebuild the this country. it feels really good to truly help these people. the unit that we replaced only left a bad image of the american soldiers and it's great that we're helping to rebuild our image and help save a country at the same time. our main mission has been to rebuild the country and it's great that we are finally doing what we came out to do. i still have mixed emotions about the country but i can't hold a grudge against a people who were raised to hate us. they were brainwashed from the beginnig. it isn't their fault. my overall outlook on this whole ordeal keeps changing. but it's been changing for the better.
